Christmas Snowflake Star with an Image of the Holy Family

This festive Christmas piece is executed in the form of a snowflake on fir tree branches surmounted by a burning Star of Bethlehem. Christmas is one of the main Christian feasts, which are among the twelve great feasts of the Orthodox Church. The Holy Family in the centre of the piece is depicted surrounded by the Persian kings (the magi bearing gifts) and the shepherd, the first people to learn of the miraculous birth. The reverse side includes the lines of the festive psalm.
