Gospel reliquary casket

This is a folding reliquary casket in the form of a book of the Holy Scriptures with depictions of icons and prayers. At the centre of the composition is a sacred image of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Around the icon are four scenes, which contain the faces of the holy evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. On the reverse of the icon are the opening words to the prayer “Let God arise”.
