Guardian Angel

This icon is in the form of an arch with an ornate border. It carries a depiction of a guardian angel resting his hand on the shoulder of a child, who is holding a staff which bears a cross at its peak. The right arm of the angel points to heaven, where a cross glows and is surrounded by rays of light between parting clouds. The angel and child are standing on a road which symbolizes life’s journey. On the reverse of the icon is a depiction of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord.
