Guardian Angel and the Nativity

The pendant is in the shape of the Guardian Angel protecting the Holy Family, his wings spread over the scene. The icon depicts Mary, the Mother of God, and Saint Joseph crouched over the manger in which Baby Jesus lies. The Angel’s wings can be closed over this image of the Holy Family in the stable, turning it into a huge heart held in the hands of the celestial being. On the reverse are the words of the Christmas Troparion.
