Saint Nicholas the Miracle Worker

Placed within an ornate icon case crowned with sun-motif finials between two twisted columns is the sacred image of Saint Nicholas the Miracle Worker, one of the most venerated of Russian saints, who is famed for his many miracles and virtues. For his great kindness and piety, the saint had the great divine power of prayer and the gift of healing conferred upon him, a heavenly blessing which he retains to this day for those who ask. On the reverse of the icon are the words of a prayer dedicated to the saint with a blossoming cross rising above.
