This personal icon depicts Jesus Christ in the form of the Archangel with a sceptre and orb on the background of a cross. In the upper section, a depiction of the Image of Edessa can be seen. This symbolic image is called the Angel of Great Council in honour of the everlasting council on which the Lord, acting in the name of the Holy Trinity, ordained the creation of the world, the incarnation, and the redemptive sacrifice of the Son of God. On the reverse of the personal icon is the prayer “Let God arise”.
