Saint Mary Magdalene the Equiapostolic is one of the female myrrh-bearers, and was the first person to witness the resurrection of the Saviour. In the Gospels it is written that the Lord cleansed Mary of seven demons, after which Saint Mary began a new life, becoming a devout follower of Jesus Christ. The piece is in the form of a guardian angel, holding in his arms an icon bearing the sacred image of Saint Mary Magdalene. On the reverse are the words of a prayer to the saint.
